Original ductwork in a home this old often has decades of issues stacked on top of each other—leaks at every joint, restricted airflow from years of settling and compression, deteriorating insulation that no longer keeps conditioned air separated from unconditioned attic space, and undersized runs that never delivered the airflow the system was designed for in the first place. Full ductwork replacement—6 supply runs and 2 return runs, sized and routed properly for the home’s actual layout.
